Former Sen. Edward Brooke ( The first African American to the Senate, From Massachusetts, and a Republican) wrote an enlightening article today in the Washington Post. Senator Brooke is an inspiration to many to say the least, but I think that he really captures what the objectives have been in terms of race relations. As the nation is being divided ( How many times has Jeremiah Wright been on Fox News when most news groups have dropped the issue), on race, it is enlightening to see an article like this.
