In connection with the last post, and what I saw on my way home, I thought that I would blog on an issue that is effecting families everywhere. The high gas prices are effecting food prices and of course discretionary income. This is ridicious to say the least. There are proposals everywhere, and this posting will go thru each proposal.

We need leadership and actual solutions.  If we can not have our leaders be accountable, then we need to elect others that are.

Why do we give a rats ass about Jerimiah Wright?  The NYTimes completely gets it wrong in todays lead editorial.  We as a society, have designated too much time to this stupid issue.  Reverand Wright has said stupid things. And, like most politicians,  Barack Obama distanced himself from it.  They made the leap that these type of commercials will be used, that “Mr McCain has not tried hard enough to stop a race-bating commercial–complete with video of Mr Wright–that is being run in against Mr Obama in North Carolina.”  Well, NO One can help stupid people and I hate this race-bating crap, but more and more people will see it for what it is.  More people, will reject this for what it is: racism.  We need a healthy conversation about racial issues, but this is not helping, but could make the divide larger.

There is an interesting New York Times article on their website that is quite disturbing and needs to be discussed.   It goes into dialogue about how retired military generals were used as “puppets” to “spread the positive news about Iraq and the terrorist prisons to the world”  by the Bush Administration.  If this article is true, then it is rather distrubing.
